‘Diya’ is a Hindi word for a clay candle pot used for light. ‘Diya’ represents Light, hope, & prosperity.

‘Diya’ is a unique concept entered the South Shore of Nassau County- Village of Valley Stream retail restaurant and Banquet Hall market. The premises feature's a bar, a dining hall and a banquet hall for personal and business functions

The dining hall feature's a full buffet lunch and full size menu for dinner.

Indian cuisine is the trendiest new food. The market for Indian food has been growing strongly for the past few years and now appears ready to enter a new, accelerated period of growth.

Indian cooking is distinguished from many other international well-known cuisines, as it involves the use of an assortment of spices in its preparation and presentation. There are an enormous variety of regional styles of cooking within Indian cooking, such as Kashmiri (North Indian), Rajasthani and Gujarati (West Indian), Mughlai and Punjabi Cuisines (North West Indian). The combination of Mughlai and Punjabi are the most popular cuisines. The various styles share similarities in their methods of cooking.
 
‘Diya’ serves a combination of Mughlai cuisine with a touch of Punjabi and create the new fusion Indian cuisine. Unlike most Indian restaurants which utilize the same kinds of spices and thereby render a similar taste, our   Indian cooking is distinct flavor that is reflective of a fusion between Indian and perhaps even non-Indian food which attracts the new, health conscious generation of Indians as well as captures the attention of non-Indian market.


In New York City, there are a number of Indian restaurants and other food establishments that follow a homogenized “global” menu. Our menu feature certain items which are rarely found in any Indian restaurants, such as Tandoori Filet Minion, Rosemary Lamb Chops, Tandoori Lobster and other seafood items.
